Message	the 2nd gear grind, is synchros. when people do the super cool "because race car" launch from your neighborhood street light, they are (obviously) already in first gear, and in the heat of the moment slam that bitch into 2nd, not giving the synchros time to do their job, consequently grinding away at them over time (take a look at your tranny fluid when you change it next). 3rd, 4th, 5th dont normally grind as bad because by the time you hit the top of 2nd, your're already over the speed limit in the school zone, therefore you're less inclined to jdm tyte y0 shift it.
